Ever fancied going to a morning rave stone-cold sober? Well, now you can

Ever fancied being at a rave completely sober? Or going to one in the early hours of the morning rather than just coming home from one? No, neither have we. But lots of people do.

Morning Gloryville is a unique, immersive morning dance experience that’s turning clubbing on its head. It’s bringing thousands of people together around the world every month to dance, stretch, relax and revitalize before facing the working day ahead. And it’s launching in Manchester on Wednesday 8th June at Gorilla with an open invitation to rave your way into the day from 6:30 – 10:30am.

It’s all about raving, bringing the sense of euphoria, ecstasy and oneness you associate with raves, but at a time of day when you’re usually having your cornflakes or stuck in traffic. And stone cold sober. And the only E you’ll get is energised.

“We’ve found that when everyone gets together like this, it is a transformative experience,” says founder Samantha Moyo. “People are more connected and something shifts in them – hearts are opened and minds expand. You wake up, get there, dance, enjoy yourself, play and have fun, and then your day is amazing, whatever you do. Simple yet effective.”

Morningglory HR2

Morning Gloryville is in its third year of spreading early morning energy across the globe. It started in London in 2013 and has become a global movement with groups in Berlin, San Francisco, Melbourne and Tokyo.

There are an estimated 100,000 b’ravers – ravers who brave the early morning – globally, with Manchester the 24th member of the family.

“We’re looking forward to building a Morning Gloryville community in Manchester, bringing a festival-esque experience to people who might not have had the opportunity to experience that blend of energy, liberation and togetherness,” says local organiser Becky McCarthy.

And it’s not just about the music and dance. Whilst the event is a unique opportunity to bust your best early morning moves on a jumping dancefloor, expect free hugs from the Wake-up Angels, an energising massage station, yoga, breakfast delights and smoothies, organic coffee, delicious teas, and a motivational dance team keeping the vibe alive.

Everybody is invited to this sober rave to dance, stretch, relax and revitalize to start their day.
