Festival goers at Parklife this weekend certainly didn’t let Manchester’s weather rain on their parade.

Sporting bright colours and extravagant prints, music lovers definitely got into the spirit, showing colour everywhere from their socks to hair.

Think neon clashing colours, vibrant patterns and plenty of attitude, it takes a lot to stand out in a crowd of 60,000 festival fanatics. Spotting the trends was a task in itself, with some near miss looks and others completely missing the mark.

There’s really little fear of being judged within that environment. Anything goes when you’re standing in a field of mud surrounded by boys in cocktail dresses and girls in animal masks! We noticed a lot of sheer jackets for maximum rain coverage; in addition to show off the outfit underneath; a popular choice was a transparent rain macs which in addition to showing your shape revealed the dwellings of your pockets also (not always the best idea for some).

Wellies were a must on the footwear front and despite the showers there was no stopping the girls of Manchester showing their legs in shorts and skirts, we just hope everyone had a coat for later!
